Developing positive impact investments and involving people in the protection of the environment and in the care of the identity, history and values of our territory. This principle has given rise to the partnership between BNP Paribas Cardif and FAI – Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano.

The leading players in this initiative will be clients who subscribe to BNP Paribas Cardif’s ESG Protected Lines, combining sustainability and protection, who will be given the opportunity to obtain a free FAI membership card for one year, in consideration of their sensitivity to and sharing of social responsibility and environmental protection concerns, thus becoming a key player in the protection of our natural and artistic heritage.

Sustainability is, in fact, a core and cross-cutting value that BNP Paribas Cardif wants to promote in the broader sense of empowerment of each person.

What does the Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano do?

Since 1975, FAI has been dedicated to the care, promotion and protection of Italian artistic and environmental heritage, doing so in the belief that looking after places is not enough, but also the way people experience them is essential.

With this initiative BNP Paribas Cardif wants to give its customers the opportunity to experience days of nature and culture in the many treasures scattered throughout Italy, sometimes little known, which deserve a rediscovery.

BNP Paribas Cardif’s commitment to sustainability

Support for the FAI is part of the social responsibility actions and commitments undertaken by BNP Paribas Cardif on ESG issues. In particular, in its investment strategy, the Company is committed to:

  • develop positive-impact investments with regard to the selection of financial assets that make up the Separate Accounts. Promote, in addition, positive impact investments in our Unit-Linked range;
  • take action against global warming by taking into account the carbon footprint of financial assets in the investment processes of the Separate Accounts;
  • consolidate the ESG analysis and shareholder engagement policy within the framework of investment strategies and processes.

In September 2021, BNP Paribas Cardif joined the Net-Zero Asset Owner Alliance and, more recently, strengthened its commitment to tackling climate change by joining the Climate Action 100+ initiative.
