Open-F@b Call4Ideas 2021, applications closed: here are the next steps

The collection of applications for Open-F@b Call4Ideas 2021, the contest sponsored by BNP Paribas Cardif and Insuranceup, closed on September 30: now the selection of the candidates who will challenge each other in the Digital Battle to reach the final has begun

On September 30th the collection of applications for Open-F@b Call4Ideas 2021, the contest sponsored by BNP Paribas Cardif and Insuranceup, closed. Now it’s time for the evaluation phase of the projects: it will end with the disclosure of those chosen for the Digital Battle, where the applicants will challenge each other with pitches to support their innovative ideas and impress the panel. 

How the projects will be chosen 

The projects that best suit the topic of the 8th edition of Open-F@b Call4Ideas: “More Accessible Insurance” will be chosen for the Digital Battle.

In addition to responding to the criteria of originality, relevance of the benefits provided and replicability, in fact, the applicants of the 2021 edition had to meet a specific challenge: designing projects to make insurance closer to the new needs of customers, focusing on issues of inclusiveness, easiness and accessibility. 

Open-F@b Call4Ideas 2021, the next steps of the contest 

Also this year Digital Battle matches can be followed on the special platform where the online audience can vote their choice. 

At the end of the Digital Battle finalists will be identified to face a further challenge before the panel of judges during the final event in November. The new partner of this 8th edition will be part of the panel: PNI Cube, the Italian Association of University Incubators and Business Plan Competitions. 

The event will end with the presentation of the winners of Open-f@b Call4Ideas 2021. 

Open-F@b Call4Ideas 2021, the prizes 

The winners of Open-F@b Call4Ideas 2021 will be supported by BNP Paribas Cardif’s R&D team in the development and implementation of their project. In addition, two members of each winning team will be given the opportunity to present their project and engage with other startups hosted at BivwAk!, the BNP Paribas Group’s Paris-based in-house incubator. 

All finalist projects will also be introduced to C. Entrepreneurs Fund, BNP Paribas Cardif’s venture capital fund with Cathay Innovation, and included in the SCOOP platform used in BNP Paribas’ Open Innovation ecosystem to share, manage and promote cooperation with startups.
