IoT explosion, connected objects will soon be more than smartphone

According to Ericsson Mobility Report, by 2018, overtaking will occur. 16 billion of the 28 billion of devices connected to the Internet in 2021, will be terminals for the Internet of things.

There will be 28 billion smart devices by 2021: to say the Ericsson Mobile Report which provides between 2015 and 2021 increased by 23% globally, but with an absolute peak in Europe, where it will reach the 400% increase. The exceptional booming in Europe is mainly due to the changes introduced at regulatory level, such as smart meters for electricity, as well as to the steadily increasing demand for connected car, again reinforced by directives such as e-call of the EU, to be implemented in 2018.
