Ready, set, go: the Digital Battle of the 8th edition of Open-f@b Call4Ideas, the innovation contest of BNP Paribas Cardif with InsuranceUp and PNICube, dedicated this year to the theme More Accessible Insurance”, has now started.
After the closing of the call on September 30, there are 18 startups chosen by the panel of experts: from October 12th to November 1st these will challenge each other with their ideas to win a place in the “grand finale” at the end of November: only 10 will be chosen thanks to the vote of the online audience.

Digital Battle, how the pitch battle plays out
The 18 projects that passed the selection are divided into 3 groups of 6. Every week, the startups of one of the three groups will challenge each other in the digital battle, with video presentations of their projects. Every Tuesday the video pitches of the competing startups will be uploaded on the dedicated platform, and users can vote for their favorites until the following Monday.

Open-f@b Call4Ideas 2021: the prizes
The winners of the contest will receive support from the BNP Paribas Cardif R&D team for the development and implementation of their innovative project.
In addition, all finalists will be introduced to C. Entrepreneurs Fund, BNP Paribas Cardif’s venture capital fund with Cathay Innovation, and included in the SCOOP platform used in BNP Paribas’ Open Innovation ecosystem to share, manage and promote cooperation with startups.
Finally, among the novelties of this year also the possibility for two members of each winning team to present their project and engage with other startups hosted at BivwAk!, the internal incubator of BNP Paribas Group.
